When People Die During the Millennium, What Happens to Them?

Welcome to Prophecy Q & A with Jimmy DeYoung!

People do not die during the Millennium unless they have grown up as babies during the Millennium and reject Jesus Christ.

In the Millennial Kingdom, there will be a group of people resurrected with glorified bodies which would be us as the church, married to Jesus Christ. Then, there will be a resurrection of Old Testament and Tribulation saints who will also have resurrected glorified bodies and will move into the Millennium Kingdom as well.

There will be a group of people, those Gentiles and Jews, that sustain life after receiving Christ as Lord and Savior during the Tribulation Period and go into the Millennial Kingdom. There will be a judgment for those. The parable of the ten virgins (Matthew 25) is the judgment of the living Jews at the time of the Millennial Kingdom, and the sheep and the goats would be the judgment of the living Gentiles. They go into the Millennial Kingdom with a physical body and have an opportunity to reproduce and have children (Isaiah 65:20). Isaiah 65:20 says that a child will be a child until 100 years of age. At that point, he will have to decide if he will receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. It will be a theocracy. No one has rights. Jesus Christ will be ruling and reigning from a Temple in the city of Jerusalem. A child born of physical parents in the Millennial Kingdom coming to the age of 100 either receives Christ or rejects Him. If they reject Him, they die and go to Hades which is the holding area for all lost people, and they will remain there until the thousand years are over and will be brought to the Great White Throne Judgment (Revelation 20:11-15).

The only ones dying are the ones who reject Jesus Christ. Someone may live past 100 years of age. During that time, they may well also decide that instead of being a professor and that they want to be a possessor, truly trusting Christ and getting saved. Or, they may decide the other way. They are tired of professing and start sinning and stop caring what Jesus the King of Kings says. At that time, they would be killed.

The only other caveat is that Satan is going to be loosed for a season (Revelation 20:7-10) and will go about and clear out those professors, not true believers, but those who have faked their way through the thousand-year Kingdom. He will gather them, and they will get ready to go against Jesus in Jerusalem. God intercedes, and He wipes out Satan’s army, and all of them are cast into the Lake of Fire. This is all at the end of the end of the Millennial Kingdom.

Jimmy DeYoung was a prophecy teacher and journalist who travelled the country and the world educating the Body of Christ of the future events foretold in God’s prophetic Word. His goal was to equip Christians with the knowledge and understanding of what God’s Word says will happen someday soon, so that they can make better decisions today. Dr. DeYoung went home to be with his Savior on August 15, 2021.
