The climate alarmists may seem to be retreating from the marketplace, but really, they’re just regrouping and getting smarter about their tactics.

Some in the media want you to believe that Democrats are quietly backing away from aggressive climate messaging, but don’t believe it! The most zealous voices in academia and government are louder than ever, using their credentials not as evidence of expertise but as weapons of intimidation. This is science in pursuit of control, not truth.

Michael Mann is a prime example. He turned an Olympic broadcast into a climate sermon, claiming snow conditions were proof of global collapse. This isn’t analysis, it’s fearmongering dressed up as commentary. Texas A&M professor Andrew Dessler follows the same playbook — openly admitting that economic models used to calculate the so-called social cost of carbon are made up, all while simultaneously throwing emotional fits in public forums. In any other field, that kind of performance would be disqualifying. Apparently in academia, it gets you invited back.

But the more dangerous development is what’s happening behind the scenes. The Federal Judicial Center recently (and quietly) pulled its climate chapter from the online version of its official Reference Manual on Scientific Evidence. Why? Because the chapter, written by activist scientists, was triggering backlash that threatened the agency’s credibility. This seems like a win for sanity, right? Not so fast. That same chapter is still live on the National Academies of Sciences website, where the organization publicly stands behind it. The FJC shields itself from scrutiny while quietly directing readers to a proxy. This isn’t a retreat from quack science, it’s an information laundering operation.

This is the new playbook of the climate radicals. When their narrative collapses under scrutiny in one institution, they move it to another and keep going. They’re simply embedding their ideology deeper into courts, government agencies, and policy schools — in places most Americans never look.

Guess who pays the price? Families choosing between groceries and utility bills. Soaring energy costs, unreliable power grids, and crushing overregulation are the direct fruit of policies hatched in ivory towers and rubber-stamped by agencies too captured to push back.

Real science welcomes debate. Climate extremism silences it. These radicals aren’t losing ground. They are evolving. We have to say so out loud! Stay informed on this hoax and be engaged at PhyllisSchlafly.com, that’s PhyllisSchlafly.com. Join us again for the Phyllis Schlafly Report.
