Mormonism teaches that salvation is UNIVERSAL. In other words, EVERYONE’S going to Heaven, no matter what they believe—although according to LDS teaching, good Mormons go to a higher LEVEL of Heaven than anybody else. And because EVERYBODY goes to SOME Heaven, nobody goes to Hell—at least not for long. You see, Mormonism teaches that some bad people go to Hell—but only temporarily, after which they’ll be let out to go to Heaven.
These ideas contradict Scripture, which says that although Christ died for the sins of all mankind, only those who BELIEVE have the promise of eternal life. And rather than THREE LEVELS of Heaven, Scripture teaches there’s just one Heaven where all believers will enjoy God’s presence for eternity. The Bible also teaches Hell is a place where those who reject Christ will suffer FOREVER.
