LIFE ISSUES: Abortion (Part 1)

Welcome to Apologetics with Carl Kerby!

Today, we’re talking about life issues, specifically about the issue of abortion.

When does life begin?

That’s a question our culture continues to ask — especially when it comes to the issue of the right to life.

Since the Supreme Court’s Roe vs. Wade decision in 1973, abortion advocates have argued that life really begins at birth. But scientific advancements since Roe clearly demonstrate life begins at conception.

As geneticist Dr. Jérôme Lejeune stated, “To accept the fact that after fertilization has taken place, a new human has come into being is no longer a matter of taste or opinion … it is plain experimental evidence. Each individual has a very neat beginning, at conception.”

As God told Jeremiah, “Before I formed you in the belly I knew you; and before you came forth out of the womb I set you apart.”

Bottom line … the unborn child is alive and precious.

And what are other issues of life? We’ll discuss them another time.
