“The mission of the Church is to seek and to save them that are lost.” This famous quote from James H. Augey speaks to the purpose of the church. We’re commissioned to share the hope that’s found in Jesus to those who haven’t heard or haven’t accepted it yet. And when the church starts moving, the Holy Spirit shows up. Recently, in Angola, there was a clinic held with 57 participants representing 51 different churches. This training discipled believers in how to share their faith. And in this event, the facilitators asked the participants to reach out to people they knew that didn’t have a relationship with Jesus and then to share the Gospel with them. And by the grace of God, 101 people came to know Christ in the span of just a week. The gates of hell will not prevail against the church, because our mission is to tell the world about Jesus.
