Mike Gendron is the Founder and Director of Proclaiming the Gospel Ministry. He was a devout Roman Catholic for over 3 decades and was taught to rely upon the authority of the church above all else. Mike searched the Scriptures and was amazed to find that what he read in Scripture contradicted the teaching and tradition of the church he had been a part of for so long. He trusted Jesus as his Savior and now the Bible has become his sole authority in all matters of faith. Mike is the author of the books Preparing for Eternity and Contending for the Gospel, and has produced numerous videos with warnings concerning false teachings versus the truth of the Scriptures.

Jim begins the program with an Israel update. Tensions are mounting in multiple countries in the Middle East and around the world. Just hours ago, another rocket barrage was launched against Central Israel with Hamas taking credit for the attack. As more time passes since the October 7th attack, barbaric accounts continue to unfold as to what Hamas did to Israel. In the meantime, pro-Hamas, anti-Israel rallies have been occurring around the world. The UN Secretary General has blamed Israel. Various voices have called for a cease-fire. The Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, said that the calls for a cease-fire are calls for Israel to surrender. He spoke to the foreign media saying, “The Bible says there is a time for peace and a time for war. This is a time for war.”

Then Jim turns the focus to remembering the Reformation. A monk named Martin Luther posted his 95 Theses on the door of the Wittenberg Church on October 31st, 1517. This action started the Protestant Reformation. Mike tells us the events that led up to the Reformation and why Luther challenged the Pope.
