Low Maternal Mortality in Pro-Life Countries

//?#

In the wake of overturning Roe v Wade, radical feminists got on their soapboxes and decreed that doctors would be jailed for providing women with emergency life-saving procedures related to pregnancy.  As a result, women would be dying in the streets.  Just watch, they cried, maternal mortality will surge.  During the COVID crisis maternal mortality did rise, but it’s now fallen to pre-COVID times.  What hasn’t happened is the rise in deaths of women because they can’t abort their babies.  Actually, pro-life laws decrease maternal mortality.  Just look at Poland and Malta with strong pro-life laws.  They have low rates of maternal mortality.  So did Ireland before they legalized abortion.   As has been said before, there’s no need to pit mothers against their babies.  We can love them both.
