Apologetics for Parents (Part 2)

Welcome to Apologetics with Carl Kerby!

In the years we’ve been working with youth ministries, we’ve discovered that kids usually start their question asking at home.  Parents are by default the first line of defense.

However, a recent study of 1,000 parents revealed that the average parent only spends a mere five hours per week communicating face-to-face with their kids.

It seems easy to think as parents that we are doing the right thing by lining our kids up with the right youth pastor so that they can be spiritually fed.  However, even the best youth pastor may only get another 2 hours a week with your kid.  Seven combined hours is less time than one night of sleep!

Think of how tired you would be with only one night of sleep per week.  Now think about why your child may be spiritually tired.

Next time, I’ll share some great ways for you to be more of an impact on your child’s life.
