WORLDVIEW: The Shroud of Turin (Part 2)

Welcome to Apologetics with Carl Kerby!

Last time we took a look at the Shroud of Turin, the proposed burial cloth of Jesus.  In this article, we are going to discuss another peer-reviewed scientific anomaly that our younger audience may have a hard time understanding.

In 1898, a photographer named Secondo Pia took the first picture of the Shroud.  To his astonishment, Secondo realized that the physical image of the man on the Shroud is actually in a negative format.  That is because when he turned the image into a negative photo, the negative photo turned into a positive image of a man!  This means the natural image started as a negative!

As hard as this is to explain now, it was impossible to conceptualize the idea of a negative format before the invention of photography, and it lends credibility that the image has supernatural qualities.
