Where in the Bible Did the Muslims Come From?

Welcome to Prophecy Q & A with Jimmy DeYoung!

The word “Muslim” is never used in the Bible.  The word “Islam” is never used in the Bible. In the sixth century,  Mohammad said that when he started the Islamic religion, he was a direct descendant of Ishmael. In Genesis 16, we see the birth of Ishmael from Hagar, an Egyptian, the handmaiden of Sarah. Ishmael was to be a wild man. Jesus appeared to Hagar and told her what the characteristics of her son would be. In Genesis 25 we see the line of Ishmael being followed on.  He was the firstborn son of Abraham but was not the son of promise; Isaac was the son of promise. In Genesis 25, it talks about Ishmael going into the land (Genesis 25:18) of Arabia (Saudi Arabia today), and his sons would be chiefs of tribes living in tents (a nomad – Bedouin). This is how the Arabians have lived through the centuries in Arabia. The sons of Ishmael would try to submit themselves to their brother who was stronger than him or try to bring him into submission. The word “Islam,” which is not a new word, means “submission.”  They were Islamic warriors before the Islamic faith ever came into existence.

Saudi Arabia is the birthplace of Islam.
