Larry Pratt is the executive director of Gun Owners of America.
There is a treaty conference coming to New York this July that could have important implications for Second Amendment rights here in America. This conference will deal with the U.N. Arms Trade Treaty and according to Larry, this is a project that Hillary Clinton announced early on during the Obama administration. He feels she can get the president to sign it but he can’t see the Senate ratifying it.
The problem with such a treaty is that it would have its “wish list” of restrictions. It could include the confiscation of non-civilian weapons or perhaps even requiring a manufacturer’s license just to change a scope or a stock on a rifle. These are two regulations that could show up just short of an outright gun ban due to this treaty.
Larry also comments on the case of Trayvon Martin, the young man who was allegedly shot by George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer in Sanford, Florida.
