Today, we’re talking about facing death.
Unless the Rapture happens in our lifetimes, a very high percentage of people on earth are going to die – in fact, it’s 100%!
As poet Carl Sandburg once said, “The greatest certainty in life is death. The greatest uncertainty is the time.”
But for the Christian, death is not the only certainty – eternal life in Heaven is, too! And that certainty is one that takes the fear out of dying. Truth is, believers should view death as just a momentary gateway into their true home with the Lord.
Charles Spurgeon said, “The best moment of a Christian’s life is his last one, because it is the one that is nearest heaven. And then it is that he begins to strike the keynote of the song which he shall sing to all eternity.”
But until Heaven, how should believers deal with suffering in THIS life? We’ll discuss that another time.
