TRUE RELIGION: The Case for the God of the Bible (Part 11)

Welcome to Apologetics with Carl Kerby!

Today, we’re talking about the case for the God of the Bible.

In recent years, the percentage of babies born with Down Syndrome in America has decreased dramatically. Why? Because prenatal testing now screens for it, and most couples expecting Down Syndrome children – reportedly up to 90% – end the life of their Down Syndrome children through abortion.

You know, historically, pagan cultures killed their mentally or physically disabled children. Even supposedly “cultured” civilizations like Greece and Rome practiced infanticide on children with birth defects.

But when the Gospel reached these peoples, that began to change. Because of Christian influence, societies began to value all life, including the blind, deaf, and mentally handicapped. The appreciation for all life came about because the GOD OF THE BIBLE values all life. ALL people – healthy or disabled – are precious in His sight.

And what are other reasons to believe in the God of the Bible? We’ll discuss them another time.
