TRUE RELIGION: The Case for the God of the Bible (Part 8)

Welcome to Apologetics with Carl Kerby!

Today, we’re talking about the case for the God of the Bible.

One of the most profound questions we’ve all asked is, “Why am I here?”

The secular world has no answers. After all, if the world’s right, and we’re just the result of random naturalistic causes; if there’s no right and wrong; and if there’s no afterlife to look forward to, how COULD there be any purpose in this life?

In contrast, the biblical God tells us exactly why we’re here: TO KNOW HIM. You see, we were created to have fellowship with God, and His primary purpose for us is to be redeemed from our sin and restored to a right relationship with Him. Only then can we find true fulfillment.

As Augustine, a well-known Church Father, prayed, “[O]ur heart is restless until it finds its rest in You.”

And what are other reasons to believe in the biblical God? We’ll discuss them another time.
