BIBLICAL WORLDVIEW : Argument from the Resurrection (Part 7)

Welcome to Apologetics with Carl Kerby!

Today, we’re talking about evidence from the Resurrection. Overwhelming evidence points to the resurrection of Jesus Christ as historical fact, including the hundreds of eyewitness accounts of people seeing the risen Lord and the lack of credible alternatives to explain the empty tomb.

Another reason to believe in the Resurrection is Christ’s own testimony after He arose. You see, when Christ appeared to the apostles after the Crucifixion, they thought He was a ghost! Jesus actually had to convince them He was alive and had a real, although glorified, body. Here are His own words from Luke 24:

Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: touch me, and see; for a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as you see me have.

Then, just to prove He wasn’t a ghost, He ate some fish and honey right in front of them!

Why does the Resurrection really matter? We’ll discuss that another time.
