Yesterday, a state senate committee held a public hearing on two bill related to prohibiting biological males from competing on girls’ or women’s sports teams or athletic events. One bill stops this in K-12 schools and the other on UW campuses and state tech colleges. The Assembly has already passed these Protect Women’s Sports bills. If they are passed in the Senate, the bills will go to Governor Evers, who is beholden to the transgender agenda, and has indicated he will veto them.

These bills are certainly about fairness given the physical advantages boys and men have in nearly all athletic endeavors. But they are also about safety—on fields and courts—and about privacy—in locker rooms, rest rooms, and more. Our officials should get these bills to the governor and give him the opportunity to do right by women and girls.
