BIBLICAL WORLDVIEW: Argument from Biblical Unity

Today, we’re talking about evidence from the biblical record. Did you ever consider how diverse the Bible is? The 66 books of the Old and New Testaments were written by 40 authors of wildly different backgrounds, including a king, tax collector, fisherman, farmer, doctor, scribe, and soldier … just to name a few. The Bible was written in three languages (Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek), was written over a span of 1,600 years, and was written in places ranging from a palace to a prison. What’s more, the Bible was written during times of war, peace, triumph, oppression, spiritual revival, and spiritual apathy.

Yet, despite all the differences, the Bible still has one unifying message – God’s grace and salvation given to a sinful world.

According to Bible scholar F.F. Bruce:

[T]he Bible is not simply an anthology; there is a unity which binds the whole together.

EXACTLY!

What about evidence from Christ’s Resurrection? We’ll discuss that another time. Until then, for more information, go to www.hopetools.net.  Stay bold!
