Christian post reports that on Easter Sunday, noted atheist and evolutionist Richard Dawkins, related that he’s a “cultural Christian” and laments the decline of “cultural Christianity” in the United Kingdom and the surge of Islam. Dawkins said, quote, “”If I had to choose between Christianity and Islam, I choose Christianity every single time. I mean, it seems to me to be a fundamentally decent religion in a way that, I think, Islam is not.”
Dawkins is acknowledging the very real and insidious influence the Islamic religion has in a country. While he rejects the tenets of true Christianity, he recognizes that Christianity is vastly different from Islam and is better for a country and its citizens than is Islam. When an atheist evolutionist makes this assertion, perhaps we in America should take heed.
