One of the highlights of the year for Wisconsin Family Council and Wisconsin Family Action is bringing the truth of Christmas to the state capitol with a sign proclaiming Jesus as the focus of the season and a nativity display. Over the years, these truth-telling displays on the first-floor rotunda of the capitol are joined by a blasphemous sign and so-called nativity display sponsored by Freedom from Religion Foundation. All seasonal displays will be up through the month, along with the state’s Christmas tree sporting decorations made by school children around the state.
This time of year, thousands of people, including school groups, come to the capitol. We want to be sure the true message of Christmas is clear and unmistakable for those visiting. We’re thankful our religious freedom allows us to proclaim truth in the public arena.
