Today is an important Election Day in Wisconsin. This is the final opportunity for voters to have a say in who will be the state’s next supreme court justice. Court observers and political pundits across the nation believe this race between a self-described liberal progressive and a self-described judicial conservative has huge implications for issues in our state and also for the twenty twenty-four presidential election. Polls are open statewide until eight tonight. General election information is available at my vote dot w-i dot gov.
Election Day shouldn’t be a day we dread; it should be a day we are thankful we have the freedom to make a difference by casting a meaningful vote. This is also an excellent time to involve the next generations. Taking kids with you to the polls can be a great opportunity for important conversations that can help create a lifetime of good citizenship.
