Is Jesus Christ Referred to as the Morning Star or Does It Refer to Satan in 2 Peter 1:19 and Revelation 22:16?

Welcome to Prophecy Q & A with Jimmy DeYoung!

The Morning Star in the Bible is not a reference to Satan.

Job 38:7 refers to the Morning Stars (plural). The Morning Stars and the Sons of God were there when Jesus created the Earth, and they shouted for joy. In Genesis 1:1, angels were brought into existence: “In the beginning, God created the heavens (angels as described in Job) and the Earth.”

In 2 Peter 1:19 doesn’t say that Jesus is the Morning Star. It says that Jesus is the “Day Star,” but that would be considered the Morning Star.

In Revelation 22:16, Jesus says that he is the bright and Morning Star. That is not Satan but Jesus Christ claiming who He is.
