Do You Believe that a Six-Year-Old Who Has Died and Has Not Heard the Gospel Has Gone to Heaven?

Welcome to Prophecy Q & A with Jimmy DeYoung!

I am not absolutely positive that I can give you a verse of Scripture that guarantees that.

King David had a young son who died. 2 Samuel 12:23 says, “But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.” This seems to indicate that those children who died under the age of accountability who have no idea how to receive Christ as Lord and Savior, or anyone who may be mentally deprived and not able to come to an understanding, would go into the presence of Jesus Christ at their death.

I am just supposing this. I am not trying to discourage you but encourage you by the fact that the Lord has a wonderful love for the little children (Matthew 18). All of the little children have guardian angels, and the Lord said to suffer the little children to come unto me.  Jesus Christ loves the little children. He will not let any harm come to them.

If they are not at the age of accountability or understand that they are sinners and need a Savior, Jesus Christ would take them into the heavenlies. I can’t give you an absolute verse, just what 2 Samuel 12:23 has to say.

Jimmy DeYoung was a prophecy teacher and journalist who travelled the country and the world educating the Body of Christ of the future events foretold in God’s prophetic Word. His goal was to equip Christians with the knowledge and understanding of what God’s Word says will happen someday soon, so that they can make better decisions today. Dr. DeYoung went home to be with his Savior on August 15, 2021.
