If God Is the Ruler Over Everything, Why Doesn’t He Choose to Come Back and Rule the Earth from the Day of His Return?

Welcome to Prophecy Q & A with Jimmy DeYoung!

There are three basic reasons for the Tribulation Period.

  1. It is to bring an end to the Gentile world powers. Daniel 2 says that the stone strikes the ten toes and the image of the man, and destroys it. This is the destruction of the Gentile world powers. This is a part of the Tribulation period.
  2. It is a time for evangelization of the Jew. Many Jews will come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior during this time. The Bible talks about the time of Jacob’s trouble (Jeremiah 30:7), and Ezekiel talks many times about “and they shall know that I am the Lord.” The judgments during the Tribulation period are turning the Jews to Jesus Christ.
  3. It will bring an end to the Satanic trinity – Satan, Antichrist, and the False Prophet. At the end of the Tribulation Period, the Antichrist and the False Prophet will be thrown into the Lake of Fire. Satan (Revelation 20:1-3) will be cast into the bottomless pit for 1,000 years, released for a season, and then thrown into the Lake of Fire where the Antichrist and the False Prophet are located.

At the end of the Tribulation Period, God the Father gives Jesus the Son the kingdom that will be forever (Daniel 7:13, 14). The book that is in the hand of the Father (Revelation 5), the title deed to the Earth which is a sealed book containing all 21 judgments of the seven-year period of time, allows the Lord Jesus Christ to bring the Earth under submission and Earth dwellers under submission. Then He will be given the thousand-year kingdom.

Jimmy DeYoung was a prophecy teacher and journalist who travelled the country and the world educating the Body of Christ of the future events foretold in God’s prophetic Word. His goal was to equip Christians with the knowledge and understanding of what God’s Word says will happen someday soon, so that they can make better decisions today. Dr. DeYoung went home to be with his Savior on August 15, 2021.
