Why Do Some People Call Themselves Messianic Believers?

Welcome to Prophecy Q & A with Jimmy DeYoung!

I can’t tell you what their motivation is.  In Ezekiel 1-3, the Lord is bringing Ezekiel, a Jewish priest, into the ministry of being a prophet.  He tells the prophet/priest Ezekiel to go to the Jewish people, and He says that they are going to be hardheaded, stiff-necked, hard-hearted, and arrogant.  Ezekiel is not to worry about what they are going to say to him, how they mock him, and if they don’t listen.  Just give them the word from God and warn them about what is going to happen.  God makes Ezekiel a watchman.

When we look at Ezekiel’s ministry as a prophet/priest to his own people, the Jewish people, we find that it was probably because of their hardheadedness and arrogance that they refused to get saved. Until they really started to study the Word of God and come to a correct understanding, some of their hardheartedness and arrogance slipped over into their new life as a Christian.  The Word of God is the absolute authority.

Jimmy DeYoung was a prophecy teacher and journalist who travelled the country and the world educating the Body of Christ of the future events foretold in God’s prophetic Word. His goal was to equip Christians with the knowledge and understanding of what God’s Word says will happen someday soon, so that they can make better decisions today. Dr. DeYoung went home to be with his Savior on August 15, 2021.
