As you study Bible prophecy, you have what we call the trio of triplets: the three main people groups (the three strains of the human family), the three books (the three main prophetic books that were written for those three people groups), and then the three remaining events on God’s calendar and how it shapes up.
There are a lot of people who study Bible prophecy from a different perspective. They come up with different events that will take place based on their interpretation of Scripture. In the Body of Christ, there are also many people who are engaged in various aspects of ministry. The aspect of ministry that Prophecy Today engages in is eschatology – the study of end times or the last days. They examine current events in the light of God’s prophetic Word. That’s what they do … that’s their aspect. Of course, they use an understanding of Bible prophecy to stay motivated.
Another aspect to the understanding of Bible prophecy is evangelism. That’s their ultimate goal!
Jimmy DeYoung was a prophecy teacher and journalist who travelled the country and the world educating the Body of Christ of the future events foretold in God’s prophetic Word. His goal was to equip Christians with the knowledge and understanding of what God’s Word says will happen someday soon, so that they can make better decisions today. Dr. DeYoung went home to be with his Savior on August 15, 2021.
