“The sky is falling!” This is the message that has been given for many decades now. We were warned about a coming ice age that never materialized. It was then changed to say that the polar ice caps would melt and islands would be swallowed up. We were told that sea levels would take homes all over the globe. “The sky is falling!”
That is virtually the message coming from the U.N. Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, as he made recent remarks at the U.N. press conference on climate change last Thursday. Apparently, we can forget about global warming as that’s over and done. Now he declares that global boiling is here and we must act now! Are humans truly destroying the planet?
