Prayer (Part 6)

Welcome!

I’m Bub Kuns, and today we’re talking about prayer again.

Despite all the modern conveniences of life today, Americans seem to be busier than ever.

In fact, according to research by Onepoll, “59% of Americans find it extremely difficult to balance work and their personal schedules.” (Headley, Cw. “Survey: The Average American Has Less Than Half an Hour of Free Time per Week.” Ladders | Business News & Career Advice, 14 Oct. 2019, www.theladders.com/career-advice/the-daily-task-americans-are-neglecting-the-most) Not only that, but the survey found that the average American has only 26 minutes of free time a week!

With all the busyness in our lives, it’s easy to neglect a critical part of the Christian life — prayer! Truth is, we can jam our schedules so full of good things to do that we can miss out on the BEST THING in life — time with our Lord.

As Dwight L. Moody said, “If you have so much business to attend to that you have no time to pray, depend upon it that you have more business on hand than God ever intended you should have.” (A Quote From Daniel, Man of God. www.goodreads.com/quotes/12373678-if-you-have-so-much-business-to-attend-to-that)

Now, what else should believers know about prayer? We’ll discuss that another time.
