Welcome!
Today, we’re talking about character.
TIME is money — but so is INTEGRITY!
The Journal of Financial Economics highlighted a university study finding that ethical misconduct by a company leader negatively affects an ENTIRE COMPANY. The researchers noted that “the personal integrity of the top management team plays an important role in the valuation and business operations of the firm,” with ethical misconduct leading to “a significant decline in firm value and operating performance.” Compromised integrity isn’t just bad for morale — it’s bad for business, too!
Integrity — doing what’s biblically right regardless of the circumstances or consequences — should be how all believers conduct themselves. Integrity as a way of life both keeps us out of trouble and helps us keep a good testimony to the world.
As Proverbs 11:3 says, “The integrity of the upright guides them, but the crookedness of the treacherous destroys them.” (ESV)
And how else is CHARACTER important for Christians? We’ll discuss that another time.
