Knowing God’s Will (Part 4)

Welcome!

Today, we’re talking about God’s will.

A song from the musical Les Miserables includes the lines, “And now I’m all alone again nowhere to go / No one to turn to / Without a home, without a friend / Without a face so say hello to.”

That’s depressing!

The good news is we DON’T have to flounder through life alone. In fact, God often helps us discern His will through the godly counsel of others.

Proverbs 11:14 tells us, “Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.” (KJV)

As Paul Chappell said, “Refusing to heed godly counsel places us on a pathway to destruction. Each of us has a heart that is deceitful and subject to being deceived. That is why counsel is so important—so that someone can objectively evaluate the situation and respond from a biblical perspective.”

And what else should we know about God’s will? We’ll discuss that another time.
