Knowing God’s Will (Part 3)

Welcome!

Today, we’re talking about life’s purpose.

God has given believers the Bible and prayer as means to finding God’s will for our lives. But God also works through CIRCUMSTANCES. This is called PROVIDENCE. You see, God is not some “clock-winder” who is far-away — God is personal and active in His people’s lives. That’s why Romans 8:28 tells us, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” (KJV) As believers seek God’s will through Scripture and prayer, the Lord works “behind the scenes” in the circumstances of His people to accomplish His will in their lives.

As Joni Eareckson Tada said, “We will stand amazed to see the topside of the tapestry and how God beautifully embroidered each circumstance into a pattern for our good and His glory.”

And what else should we know about God’s will? We’ll discuss that another time.
