Knowing God’s Will (Part 1)

Welcome!

Today, we’re talking about God’s will.

How can we define “God’s will?” Well, it’s best defined as God’s intended purpose for life.

God has a plan for each of us, but too often believers may think of God’s will as something vague and nebulous in the future. Truth is, God has a DAILY will for our lives, and we find His daily will for us in the Bible — we are to grow in our relationship with Him and serve Him any way we can. In fact, Ecclesiastes 9:10 tells us, “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might” (ESV).

As John MacArthur said, “So often we sit around twiddling our thumbs, dreaming about God’s will in some distant future when we are not even willing to stand up on our own two feet, walk down the street, and do God’s will right now.”

And what else should we know about God’s will? We’ll discuss that another time.
