Welcome!
Today, we’re talking about having purpose in life.
An article published in The Washington Post described how many modern teens feel with its title: “AIMLESS AT 18? NORMAL.”
In fact, author R.M. Harrington described the purposelessness common among modern teenagers, writing, “Directionless teens walk the night streets where the only people who intervene are those with a lust to further exploit their loneliness.”
So, why do so many youths today seem to lack purpose?
The answer is that they aren’t looking for their purpose in GOD. The pleasures, wealth, and influence they pursue are just “fool’s gold” — pretty, but of no lasting value.
Ephesians 2:10 tells us God’s purpose for life: “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”
In the end, life’s purpose is really found in knowing and serving God.
And what else should we know about life’s purpose? We’ll discuss that another time.
