The Importance of Biblical Literacy (Part 10)

Welcome!

Today, we’re talking about biblical literacy.

Agnostics claim they can’t know — or at least DON’T WANT TO KNOW — God. And this group is GROWING! According to the Pew Research Center, those identified as agnostics increased from 2% to 5% from 2007 to 2021. That’s a 150% increase!

But God has clearly revealed Himself in His Word so that humans CAN know Him.

In fact, Jeremiah 9:23-24 says, “Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord” (ESV).

Knowing God is possible for any human being through the Bible and, in light of eternity, that should be the main focus of our lives.

And what really is the PURPOSE of life? We’ll discuss that another time.
