Welcome!
Today, we’re talking about the importance of global missions.
How many people in the world have never heard about Jesus? The number may surprise you.
According to Operation World, between 24-27% of the world’s population — that’s nearly 2 BILLION PEOPLE — have never truly had the Gospel presented to them.
With the cultural decline around us at home, it’s easy for us believers to forget about the Great Commission — to go into all the world and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
But as Romans 10:14 reminds us, “How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?” (ESV).
As Hudson Taylor said, “The Great Commission is not an option to be considered; it is a command to be obeyed.”
But how effective ARE global missions? We’ll discuss that another time.
