Today, we’re talking about the Christian and community service.
Ever realize that doing community service can be as good for YOU as those you’re helping?
Well, research by Western Connecticut State University found that volunteering actually boosts “life satisfaction” and that doing good for others in the community results in the volunteer feeling a “sense of accomplishment.”
So, what does that have to do with us as believers?
Actually, A LOT!
As we serve those around us for Jesus Christ, not only are we a blessing to others, but we’re happier ourselves. And not only are WE blessed by serving others, but we delight the heart of GOD as well.
As Billy Graham said, “The highest form of worship is the worship of unselfish Christian service. The greatest form of praise is the sound of consecrated feet seeking out the lost and helpless.”
