Welcome!
I’m Bub Kuns, and today we’re talking about the dangers of pre-marital sex.
Pre-marital sex negatively affects people physically and emotionally. But it also spills over into future relationships. Contrary to the popular myth that having sex with multiple people prior to marriage is normal and healthy, social science indicates that those who follow God’s design for sex within marriage have the most fulfilling long-term relationships.
In fact, research by the Institute of Family Studies reveals that both men and women who wait until marriage to engage in sex are much more likely to be content when they “tie the knot.” As Nicholas H. Wolfinger of the University of Utah noted about the study, “In sum, the surprisingly large number of Americans reporting one lifetime sex partner have the happiest marriages.”
Psalm 18:30 reminds us, “As for God, his way is perfect.”
Next time we’ll talk about the importance of sexual purity on Apologetics with Reasons for Hope.
