TRUTH & DOUBT: Understanding the Enemy’s Strategy (Part 11)

Welcome to Apologetics with Carl Kerby!

Today, we’re talking about the enemy’s strategies.

We’ve all probably seen a family at a restaurant where the mom, dad, and kids are all on their own phones around the table, each of them texting or scrolling, but none of them interacting with each other. Truth is, the more “techy” we become, the harder time we have interacting with real-life people — and the more unfulfilled we are.

In fact, Christine Carter of the Greater Good Science Center observed that lack of face-to-face communication with others causes long-term problems, including loneliness and insecurity. She noted that it’s SOCIAL interaction — not SOCIAL MEDIA interaction — that brings happiness and well-being.

You see, God designed us to have real relationships, to fellowship with Him and with each other — not just to look at a screen. As we prioritize spending time with real people, we will find ourselves fulfilled as well.

And what are other ways the enemy deceives? We’ll discuss them another time.
