Today, we’re talking about evidence from the Resurrection. The evidence for Christ’s resurrection is overwhelming, despite skeptics’ failed attempts to discredit it.
One good reason to believe Christ rose from the dead is that He foretold it! In fact, Mark’s and Luke’s Gospel each record three times when Christ predicted He would rise from the dead, and Matthew records Christ’s prediction four times!
Announcing you will rise from the dead is quite the statement to make! The credibility of Christ’s claim of being the long-awaited Messiah was at stake – if He didn’t rise, none of His claims could be trusted.
BUT HE DID!
As apologist Bernard Ramm said:
[T]he evidence is there from the mouth of our Lord … He told them that He would be put to death violently … and would rise the third day. All this came to pass.
YES! JUST LIKE HE SAID!
