BIBLICAL WORLDVIEW: Argument from Biblical Prophecy (Part 2)

Today we’re talking about evidence from biblical prophecy. Now, when it comes to Messianic prophecy you might say, “Carl, aren’t those prophecies so general they could apply to anyone?”

Uh … no.

Actually, Messianic prophecy was extremely detailed and precise. This was so that nobody would miss the Messiah’s coming.  For example, prophets foretold where the Messiah would be born, His family ancestry, how He would be betrayed, the method of His execution, where He would be buried … and the list goes on and on!

In fact, there are over 300 specific Messianic prophecies, and all were fulfilled by Jesus of Nazareth, even though these prophecies were written hundreds of years before He was born! This shows just how accurate the Scripture is.

As apologist J. Warner Wallace said:

If a book accurately and repeatedly predicts the future (rather than simply record the past), it moves from reliable to Divine.

What about evidence from biblical archeology? We’ll to discuss that at another time. Until then, for more information, go to www.hopetools.net.  Stay bold!
