WORLDVIEW: What Is a “Worldview?”

Today we’re talking about worldviews. While reading these apologetic articles, you may wonder, “Carl, with so much evidence for design in creation, why would people still refuse to acknowledge God?”

The answer has to do with their worldview. What’s a worldview, you ask? Well, it’s the way you view the world … duh! Seriously, it’s the starting point for your belief system about life.

For example, if you have a biblical worldview, it makes perfect sense to find fully-formed creatures appearing suddenly in the fossil record, like Genesis records. It makes sense that DNA contains coded information suggesting an intelligent designer.  And it also makes sense that some people don’t want to acknowledge God, and they look for any other belief system as an alternative, sometimes despite the evidence. This is often the case with Darwinian evolutionists.

As Yale University professor David Gelernter says:

Darwinism is no longer just a scientific theory but a basis of a worldview, and an emergency . . . religion for the many troubled souls who need one.

RIGHT!

There’s more to say about worldviews, but we’ll address those another time. Until then, find more apologetic resources at debunked.org. Stay bold!
