Doesn’t the Big Bang Disprove the Biblical Story of Creation?

Today, we’re talking about the Big Bang. “Carl, doesn’t the Big Bang disprove the biblical story of creation?” Actually, it does just the OPPOSITE. Before the 20th century, most scientists believed that the universe was eternal and had no beginning.  Scientists discovered a curious thing, however – by their measurements, the universe was slowly EXPANDING OUTWARD. Their discovery meant only one thing, then – the universe had a STARTING POINT at some time in the past!

In his book The Universe and Dr. Einstein, Lincoln Bartlett says:

The Inescapable inference [to this discovery] is that everything had a beginning; somehow and sometime the cosmic processes were started.

Well, science may call this beginning “The Big Bang,” but the Bible calls it CREATION! Genesis 1:1 says, “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” Once again, science showed that the creation account was right all along.

You might say, “Okay, I get creation, but was there really an Adam, or is that just a story?” We’ll address that question another time. Until then, for more resources go to debunked.org, and stay bold!
