Noah—Did He Build It Alone?

This is Ken Ham, author of the kids’ rhyming book about the flood, N Is for Noah.

When we built our life-size ark in Northern Kentucky, it involved hundreds of people. So many people wonder how Noah could’ve done such a big project with just his three sons.

Now, Noah wasn’t under the same timeframe as we were—he had a lot more time! And he didn’t have to build it to withstand years of wear and tear or to meet specific construction and fire codes. And he didn’t have to fill it with high-quality exhibits. So, he had it a bit easier!

But all that aside, Scripture doesn’t tell us that he did—or had to do—it alone. Noah probably hired others to help him with the project. And he used the opportunity to warn them of the coming flood.
