Biblically, we’re to steward earth for our good, God’s glory. But what does that mean?

Well, “our good” means we recognize that people aren’t animals—we’re made in God’s image. Human beings are worth far more than any other created thing. So, we put people first, making decisions that allow for human flourishing, but recognizing that in a fallen world, we must watch out for wrong motives!

“God’s glory” means we recognize he made everything, and he owns everything. And God delights in what he’s made! So, we don’t just destroy so we can have what we want. We preserve creation, so it can continue to bring glory to him!
