TRUE RELIGION: The Case for the God of the Bible (Part 2)

Welcome to Apologetics with Carl Kerby!

Today, we’re talking about the case for the God of the Bible.

Of all the religions and philosophies in our world today, only the God of the Bible describes man’s nature in a way that conforms to REALITY.

Unlike Marxism, which teaches man is inherently good, or Buddhism, which teaches that man is a blank slate that can become good or evil, the biblical God tells us Adam’s original sin has stained the human race. That sin has passed from generation to generation and, whether we look at societal injustices of the past or our own personal struggles with sin, the reality is that man has a natural bent to evil.

As professor Edward T. Oakes said, “If the experience of human history … means anything, it must be that we are stuck, like it or not, with a doctrine – nay the reality – of original sin.”

And what are other reasons to believe in the biblical God? We’ll discuss them another time.
