BIBLICAL WORLDVIEW : Argument from the Resurrection (Part 6)

Welcome to Apologetics with Carl Kerby!

Today, we’re talking about evidence from the Resurrection. Some of the strongest evidence from the Resurrection is the multitude of eyewitness accounts that verified Jesus Christ was alive after His death on Calvary.

  • First, the women, who were told by an angel at the tomb that Christ was risen, saw Him as they were leaving to share the good news with His disciples.
  • Then, Mary Magdalene talked with Jesus just outside the tomb – thinking at first that He was the gardener.
  • Next, two of Jesus’ followers on the road to Emmaus walked with Him – and even had supper with Him!
  • After that, the twelve apostles saw Jesus when He appeared to them – not once but twice!
  • And before Jesus ascended into Heaven, five hundred people saw Him at the same time!
  • And let’s not forget that James and Paul, both non-believers, saw the Resurrected Christ.

What about Jesus’ own testimony after He arose? We’ll discuss that another time.
