This is Ken Ham, author of Divine Dilemma: Wrestling with the Question of a Loving God in a Fallen World.
Yesterday we learned about the first of the Seven C’s of History, Creation. God created a perfect world, free from death and suffering. But what happened?
Well, that’s the next C, Corruption. The first people God made, Adam and Eve, rebelled against him. Instead of trusting and obeying their Creator, they wanted to be their own gods. They listened to the voice of the serpent and they sinned against God. The just penalty for sin is death. Their choice to rebel brought death and suffering into creation. They died and now we all die, because of sin.
But God didn’t leave them to die without hope! And that’s for later this week.
