Yesterday afternoon at 4:29pm Eastern Time, the following post was sent on President Trump’s Truth Social account: “The Deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now complete. Congratulations to all! I hereby authorize the toll free opening of the Strait of Hormuz and, simultaneously herewith, authorize the immediate removal of the United States Naval blockade. Ships of the World, start your engines. Let the oil flow! President Donald J. Trump.”
It’s reported that the official signing ceremony is to take place this Friday, June 19th in Switzerland.
Oil prices are dropping today and the stock market is rising.
There are many questions that abound: Is there a level at which Iran is allowed to enrich uranium? Why doesn’t the Trump administration seem to understand the religious goals of Iran/Islam?
