Three months ago today, the war with Iran got underway.  During this time, President Trump has consistently stated his goal of removing the nuclear threat of Iran and sees no way for them to have enriched uranium.

Just yesterday, President Trump held a Cabinet meeting at the White House and said Iran was “negotiating on fumes.”  In recent hours, news broke indicating that the United States and Iranian negotiators have reached an agreement.  It’s an agreement to a 60-day memorandum of understanding which extends the current ceasefire and also negotiations concerning Iran’s nuclear program.  This all awaits the approval of President Trump.

News reports have also indicated that the United States shot down Iranian drones near the Strait of Hormuz.  Iran also launched a ballistic missile against Kuwait.

Many questions remain.  For example:

  • Who’s in charge in Iran?  In other words, who exactly are we dealing with?
  • Is a diplomatic solution possible with Iran?  After all, Mojtaba Khamenei, in a very fiery Hajj message, described Israel as a “cancerous tumor” nearing the “final stages” of its existence.
  • Will the number of nations that are part of the Abraham Accords be increased?
  • What’s going on with Hamas and Hezbollah?

Listen and get Chris’s perspective on these and other related questions.  Callers brought their thoughts to bear on this issue as well.
