Here’s a small sample of the stories Dalton brought to the attention of Crosstalk listeners:

–President Biden addressed the nation last evening and appeared to use the slaughtering of Israelis and the current humanitarian crisis in Gaza to request additional funds for the Ukraine conflict.

–President Biden said he’s going to send to Congress an urgent budget request to fund America’s national security in the following ways.  It includes: 60 billion  for  Ukraine and replenishing U.S. stockpiles, 14 billion for Israel, 10 billion for humanitarian efforts, 14 billion for the U.S. border with Mexico and 7 billion for the Indo-Pacific region. 

–As of late yesterday afternoon, U.S. troops had been attacked this week in Iraq and Syria over 7 times in 48 hours.

–CBS/”60 Minutes” reporter Scott Pelley asked President Biden that considering the two wars currently taking place and the dysfunction in Congress, is the president sure he wants to run again?  Dalton provided audio of the president’s response.

–House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan loses third ballot to be House speaker.

–Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas calls for the U.S. to deport foreign students who support Hamas. 

–Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders ordered a China-owned company to drop farmland in northeast Arkansas.  Dalton provided audio from the governor. 

–Representative Tom Tiffany of Wisconsin is proposing to ban Palestinian refugees from coming to the U.S. 

–Scotland is ready to offer the people of Gaza asylum in their nation.

–Hamas has released a pair of U.S. hostages (a mother and daughter) for “humanitarian reasons.”
