Welcome!
Today, we’re talking about character.
The Battle of the Bulge was one of the fiercest battles of World War II — it was also one of the most heartbreaking for famed singer Bing Crosby. Crosby had traveled to Europe to sing “White Christmas” to 100,000 American troops shortly before the battle in December of 1944. He fought back tears as he sang to the troops, knowing that many of those men would never have a chance to experience a white Christmas at home again — instead, they demonstrated incredible courage as they faced possible death in battle to protect our country.
COURAGE is facing trials rather than retreating from them, and standing for what’s right regardless of the consequences. And as we do, God promises to give us strength to meet those challenges.
As Psalm 27:14 says, “Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!” (NKJV)
And how else is character important? We’ll discuss that another time.
